DESCRIPTION:Workshop Overview\n\n\n\n\n\nExplore in-depth the Church’s social teachings and ways you can help your students learn how they are called to serve God and neighbor. You’ll explore topics such as human dignity\, the corporal and spiritual works of mercy\, just war theory\, the proper role of government\, the different types of justice\, and our call to care for the poor and vulnerable. \n\n\n\nYou’ll also receive a free copy of Exploring Catholic Social Teaching\, a supplemental teacher’s guide packed with fully-developed lesson plans and activities that will help you engage your students with the Catholic Faith. \n\n\n\nThis Workshop blends scholar presentations with interactive pedagogical sessions\, giving you a chance to explore content with a respected college professor\, as well as explore and simulate practical teaching strategies with ready-to-use classroom materials.
