  • Beatitude
    :
    “Supreme blessedness,” or “supreme happiness.”
  • Beatitudes
    :
    The Beatitudes are Jesus’ teachings in the Sermon on the Mount about how to live our lives on earth so that we can be perfectly happy in Heaven.
  • Imperfect Happiness
    :
    Imperfect Happiness is the kind of happiness that we can know during our earthly lives. This happiness does not last and may go away over time.
  • Kingdom of Heaven (Kingdom of God)
    :
    God’s reign, or rule, over all things. During His public ministry, Jesus proclaimed that the Kingdom of God was at hand. The Church is the seed, or beginning, of the Kingdom here on earth. The Kingdom will be fulfilled in Heaven.
  • Perfect Happiness
    :
    Perfect Happiness is the kind of happiness we will only know when we are in Heaven with God. This happiness will last forever.
