The Sacrament of Holy Eucharist

The Eucharist fulfills our Lord’s promise to give us Himself, the Bread of Life.

  • Communion
    :
    Communion is a title for the Eucharist that refers to how all who receive the Body and Blood of Christ are united to Him and one another.
  • Eucharist
    :
    The Eucharist is the Sacrament in which we receive the true Body and Blood, soul and divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ under the appearances of bread and wine. The Eucharist is the source and summit of our Christian life. It is spiritual food for the soul.
  • Last Supper
    :
    The Last Supper was the last meal shared between Jesus and His Apostles on the night before He died on the Cross. Jesus instituted the Holy Eucharist at the Last Supper.
  • Transubstantiation
    :
    Transubstantiation is the word used to describe the change of the bread and wine at Mass into the Body and Blood, soul and divinity of Jesus Christ.
