Overview
Students focus on how much children are loved by Jesus Christ, and how His death and Resurrection has opened the way to Heaven.
Units
In this unit, we learn about God. We learn how he is a trinity of persons who created all and seeks to love an be loved by us along with all the saints and angels. In this unit, we learn about Jesus' time on earth, how he was always obedient to his father, worked miracles, proclaimed His Kingdom, and founded His Church through the twelve disciples. In this unit, we learn how Adam and Eve sinned against God, creating original sin. We also see that is a choice that, once baptized decided if we go to heaven or hell. In this unit, we learn the Jesus has the power to forgive sins and that He gave that power to His Church. Now, we can be forgiven too by making a good confession! In this unit, we learn how Jesus suffered and died for our sins, rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, sent His Spirit of Truth to guide us, and will come again to judge the world. In this unit, we learn about the Blessed Sacrament. We see its roots in the Old Testament, and its fulfillment in the New Testament. We learn that the mass is the memorial of His death and that it truly changes the bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Christ. Lastly, we see how communion nourishes us and how we should prepare to receive Christ properly. In this unit, we see how Christ is present with us always, in his Church, His Word, His Sacraments, and His Grace. We also see how Mary is the mother of the Church and our best model for Christian living.
