  • Proceed
    :
    To proceed means to come forth from. The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son.
  • Trinity
    :
    The Trinity is the Christian mystery revealed to us by God that He is three Persons in One God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
  • Consubstantial
    :
    Of the same substance. We say in the Nicene Creed that Jesus is “consubstantial with the Father,” which means that Jesus is one with the Father. The Persons of the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, are each fully God. (267)
