Gospel of Luke

The Gospel of Luke, known as the Gospel of Mercy, focuses on the mercy and forgiveness of Jesus.

Day 1 & 3

Gentile: A person of non-Jewish ethnicity.
Annunciation: The visit of the angel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary to inform her that she was to be the Mother of the Savior. after giving her consent to God’s word, Mary became the Mother of Jesus by the power of the holy Spirit. The Gospel story of the annunciation can be found in Luke 1:26-38 and its feast day is on March 25th. (973)
Visitation: The Gospel story of Mary’s visit to her cousin Elizabeth shortly after the Angel Gabriel had appeared to Mary to announce the Incarnation. At their meeting, the child in Elizabeth’s womb, John the Baptist, leapt for joy in the presence of the unborn Jesus.
Mercy: Compassion, kindness, and forgiveness shown to others. God has infinite mercy for us. Jesus taught us to show mercy to others.
