Explore St. John Paul II’s teachings on the Theology of the Body and how you can lead your students to understand what it means to be made in the image and likeness of God\, male and female. You’ll also explore ways to appropriately teach about purity\, human sexuality\, biological sex\, and other topics related to Theology of the Body in age appropriate ways. \n\n\n\nYou’ll also receive a free copy of either Human Sexuality or Everyday Theology of the Body\, a supplemental teacher’s guide packed with lessons and activities that will help you bring your students into a deeper understanding of the Theology of the Body. \n\n\n\nThis Workshop blends scholar presentations with interactive pedagogical sessions\, giving you a chance to explore content with a respected scholar\, as well as explore and simulate practical teaching strategies with ready-to-use classroom materials. Share best practices with your fellow teachers\, enjoy catered breakfast and lunch\, and engage in both formal and informal discussions. \n\n\n \n Join Waiting List\n \n \n\n\n\nSchedule\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n 8:30-9:00am \n \n \n Breakfast and Check-In \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 9:00-9:15am \n \n \n Program Introduction \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 9:15-9:45am \n \n \n Making Visible the Invisible \n Spend time engaging in hands-on activities that will help your students see the spiritual realities communicated by our physical bodies and other created realities. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 9:45-10:30am \n \n \n Pope St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body \n Enjoy the first of two presentations by Dr. Michel Therrien\, followed by Q & A \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 10:30-10:45am \n \n \n Break \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 10:45-11:30am \n \n \n Male and Female He Created Them \n Spend time engaging in hands-on activities that will help students understand more deeply what it means to be created male and female and in God’s image. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 11:30am-12:15pm \n \n \n Holy Mass \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 12:15-1:00pm \n \n \n Lunch \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 1:00-1:45pm \n \n \n The Redemption of the Body \n Enjoy the second presentation by Dr. Michel Therrien\, followed by Q & A \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 1:45-2:20pm \n \n \n Fearfully and Wonderfully Made Art Gallery \n Spend time examining various pieces of art that depict the beauty of creation and the human person. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 2:20-2:30pm \n \n \n Additional Resources\, Evaluation
