Overview
Young children begin to develop an awareness of God as our Father in Heaven, the creator of Heaven and earth, who is all good, who created them in His image and likeness, and who loves them unconditionally.
Units
In this unit, we learn about the nature and attributes of God and how we can respond to His love through prayer. In this unit, we learn how from the very beginning God has planned for our salvation. Even when we sin by failing to love God, he makes us part of his Church and provides us with the graces to become saints. In this unit, we learn about Jesus, how he showed us to be happy and how to follow and imitate him. In this unit, we learn about prayer and the different kinds of prayers there are. In this unit, we learn how Jesus died for our sins, but rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. Jesus meets with us in the memorial of the mass, where He is present in His Body and Blood. In this unit, we learn about Mary, the model for all Christians and our greatest intercessor! In this unit, we learn about the Holy Spirit, and how he was sent by the Father and the Son to teach and guide us. In this unit, we learn about the Bible, what we can learn from it, and how it is proclaimed at the Holy Mass.
