Directions

1. Have students read the Gospel passage, or read it aloud to your students, and then answer the focus questions. You may have students answer them on their own or you may discuss them together as a class.

Focus Questions

1. He called Him the Lamb of God. He said Jesus would take away the sin of the world.

8. Jesus is the Lamb of God. He is the sacrifice of a new Passover. His sacrifice is once and for all. He died for everyone. The first Passover lamb was sacrificed to save the Hebrew people from slavery in Egypt. Jesus sacrificed His own life to save everyone from sin and death. The Hebrew people ate the Passover lamb in order to receive freedom and new life. We receive new life in Christ when we eat the Eucharist.
