Workshop Overview

What is the unique mission of a Catholic school, and how are teachers called to participate in it? What distinguishes a Catholic school from any other educational setting? Reflect on these and other questions, and explore concrete ways you can more intentionally respond to your call as a Catholic educator.

This Workshop blends scholar presentations with interactive pedagogical sessions, giving you a chance to explore content with a respected scholar, as well as explore and simulate practical teaching strategies with ready-to-use classroom materials. Share best practices and enjoy catered breakfast and lunch with your fellow Diocese of Orange teachers.

    The transcendentals—truth, beauty, and goodness—reflect the nature of God and are present in everything that exists. Learn how keeping them at the center of a Catholic school’s mission helps our students recognize God’s presence in the world and in their lives.

    Faith and Reason

    Show students that faith and reason are not in conflict, but work together in the search for truth. Explore practical ways to integrate both in the classroom, forming students who think deeply and believe faithfully.
