Praise for cabrini

The movie is both enlightening and edifying. What St. Frances Xavier Cabrini did was miraculous by anyone’s standard. Her unwavering faith and hope in the Lord’s will and providence are the real centerpieces of this film. I would encourage anyone to see this film and bring friends along.
Most Reverend David D. Kagan
Bishop of Bismarck
The film Cabrini poignantly recounts the true story of an immigrant woman, Mother Frances Xavier Cabrini, who was sent from her Italian homeland in the late 19th century by Pope Leo XIII to serve the immigrant community in the United States. Beautiful cinematography accents the powerful acting and convincing script, making Cabrini a must-see for those wondering how hope can be restored in the human spirit and society.
The Most Rev. Oscar Cantú
Bishop of San Jose
If you only see one film this year, it should be Cabrini!  The movie depicts the story of the foundress of a religious community of sisters who, though an immigrant herself, rescued thousands of immigrant children from the slums of New York, built an empire of hope, and became the first U.S. citizen to be canonized a saint.
The Most Rev. Joseph F Naumann
Archbishop of Kansas City in Kansas
Cabrini portrays the efforts of an heroic woman religious whose dedication to her Catholic faith and her people gave her the courage and strength to overcome unimaginable obstacles and set in motion a faith-inspired movement that serves as an inspiration and example for our times as well.

Archbishop Paul S. Coakley
Archdiocese of Oklahoma City

about the film

From Alejandro Monteverde, award-winning director of Sound of Freedom, comes the powerful epic of Mother Cabrini. As an Italian immigrant, Missionary Sister Frances Xavier Cabrini steps foot in America in 1889, is greeted by disease, crime and impoverished children living in New York’s slums. Guided by her unwavering faith, Cabrini sets off on a daring mission to bring God’s love and mercy to the marginalized. With a compassionate heart and a determined will, Cabrini relentlessly works to convince the hostile mayor to secure housing and healthcare for society’s most vulnerable. Despite facing numerous challenges, including language barriers, poor health and discrimination, the woman who would later become the first Catholic Female American Saint activates her virtues of faith, hope and charity to bring reform to the peripheries.
