Lesson 7

The Effects of the Sexual Revolution on Our Culture

The Sexual Revolution refers to a period of time in the late 1960s and early 1970s during which the moral restraints on sexuality were dramatically loosened in the so-called pursuit of freedom. The advent of the birth control pill and more widely accessible forms of contraception and abortion falsely promised women liberation from the natural consequences of sex. The results, however, have been devastating for women, families, and our culture.
