The aim of this lesson is for your children to understand that God is the Creator of everything that is, including everything we can see and everything we cannot see. God is the source of all life, and everything good comes from Him. Your children will also begin to understand that God communicates invisible, spiritual realities to us through visible, material signs and symbols in creation.
God shows His mercy in many ways, but most powerfully in the forgiveness of sins.
Jesus shows us the greatest expression of love: giving oneself completely to another, body and soul, and He calls us to love as He loves.
If we love God, we will take care of His creation.
Every human being possesses intrinsic dignity because he or she is made in God’s image and likeness.
To love God means to love our neighbor, which is a sign of being a disciple of Christ.
The Blessed Trinity is Three Persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, in One God.
He created the things we can see and the things we can’t see.
Adam was created in God’s image.
Friendship is necessary for us as persons.
The Persons of the Trinity are distinct from each other but are each fully God.
The Bible, the sacraments, and prayer are three ways we can know God’s love for us and become friends with Him.
Like Him, we can think, we can make choices, and we can love. God wants us to make loving choices.
We respond to God’s goodness, and to the good things He has given us, with thanksgiving and with the pursuit of holiness.
Faith is a gift from God. We also choose to have faith.
