Lesson 2: The Human Person, Made in the Image and Likeness of God
Every human being possesses intrinsic dignity because he or she is made in God’s image and likeness.

Friendship is necessary for us as persons.
Faith is a gift from God. We also choose to have faith.
Believing in and loving God “with all our being has enormous consequences for our whole life” (CCC 222).
God is one God in three Divine Persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Good parents love and protect their children; we are God’s children, and He loves and protect us.
He created the things we can see and the things we can’t see.
Like Him, we can think, we can make choices, and we can love. God wants us to make loving choices.
God wants us to Love in the way the He loves.
God intentionally and deliberately created each one of us.
The world was made for the glory of God, to show it forth and communicate it.
The mystery of the Holy Trinity is that God is three Persons in one God.
God is love and He made us out of love.
To be made in God’s image and likeness means that we possess an intellect, free will, and a capacity for love.
To love God means to love our neighbor, which is a sign of being a disciple of Christ.
