Lesson 23: Jesus Suffered for Us

Jesus invites us to become His disciples and follow Him by imitating His example, praying as He prays, and serving as He serves.
Christ not only instructs us on what the acts of mercy are; He also provides examples in His ministry.
Good parents love and protect their children; we are God’s children, and He loves and protect us.
Mary pondered the events of Christ’s birth in her heart. We can follow her example and meditate on the events of Christ’s life and on His Word.
Jesus gives us a model for living the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy.
Jesus is the truth, and He manifests the whole of God’s truth.
God asked Mary to be Jesus’ mother and Mary said yes!
The Resurrection is the most important moment in the history of the world!
We learn from Jesus’ example that God wants to enter into our ordinary lives and make them extraordinary.

The Works of Mercy are both physical and spiritual.
