Lesson 3: Jesus is Mary's Son

Jesus has a special love for young children. God gives each of us a guardian angel to protect us
Jesus calls everyone to friendship. Prayer helps us to be better friends with Jesus. The saints are friends with Jesus.
Jesus was baptized, and now we can be baptized. Baptism makes us God’s children.
Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem is called Palm Sunday.
We recieve the gift of the Eucharist at Mass.

The Incarnation is the essential teaching of the Christian faith that the Son of God assumed a human nature in order to accomplish our salvation.
Mary’s yes to God played an instrumental role in our salvation and is an example of obedience to God for all of us.
We learn from Jesus’ example that God wants to enter into our ordinary lives and make them extraordinary.
