Cultivating a life of prayer is essential to living a fully Christian life. When we pray, we talk to God and He talks to us; we enter into relationship with Him. As we develop a life of prayer, we ought to strive to, as St. Paul wrote, “pray without ceasing.” That is, we can pray in everything we do, in ways both great and small. The Church, in her wisdom, has given us a calendar to help us focus our hearts and minds on the mysteries of Christ throughout the year.
