Following Jesus means following the Ten Commandments.
Jesus inaugurates the Kingdom of God on earth because He founded the Catholic Church during His earthly life.
Jesus summarized the Ten Commandments with Two Great Commandments.
The Fourth Commandment is “Honor your father and mother.”
The Ten Commandments state the requirements to love God and our neighbor.
The first three commandments are the fundamental requirements for loving God.
The fourth through sixth commandments teach us to honor our parents, all human life, and be pure and modest in our behavior.
The seventh through tenth commandments teach us to respect what belongs to others, tell the truth, and not desire things which belong to others.
Jesus helps us understand the Ten Commandments, and provided the example for the New Commandment.
When God created us, He gave us rules to help us stay safe and happy.
True freedom is possible only in service of the good and just.
