The Incarnation

The Incarnation is the essential teaching of the Christian faith that the Son of God assumed a human nature in order to accomplish our salvation.

Incarnation: The Incarnation is the assuming of the human nature by the Son of God in order to accomplish our salvation.
Word of God: A title for Jesus Christ, the Son of God. God created all of creation out of nothing, with one Word, and that Word is His Son, Jesus Christ.
Protoevangelium: “First Gospel.” In Genesis 3:15 God promises to send a savior to crush the head of the serpent and defeat sin and death. This is the first announcement of the Gospel, the Good News of salvation won by Jesus Christ.
