Jesus Rose from the Dead on Easter Sunday

The Risen Christ is truly Jesus; His body still bears the marks of His Passion, yet He has been changed and now possesses a glorified body, filled with the Holy Spirit and showing forth the full power of God.

Lesson Vocabulary

Redeem: To free someone from something that burdens or harms him or her. Jesus freed us from sin by His sacrifice on the cross.
Resurrection: The Resurrection is when Jesus rose from the dead.
Creed: A brief summary or profession of our Christian Faith, such as the Nicene Creed and the Apostles' Creed.
Glorified Body: A human body that is completely filled with divine glory and is not bound by time or space. When Jesus rose from the dead He had a glorified body. If we have lived faithful lives, we, too, will have a glorified body at the resurrection of our bodies at the end of time.
