Cunning: To be cunning is to be good at getting what one wants by tricking others or by lying.
Original Sin: Original Sin is the wounded human nature that every person is born into because of the first sin of Adam and Eve. Concupiscence is the effect of Original Sin that makes us more likely to sin.
Sin: A sin is something that we say, do, think, or fail to do that does not love God, our neighbor, or ourselves, as God has taught us.
Concupiscence: Concupiscence is the effect of Original Sin that makes us more likely to sin.
Temptation: A temptation is something that attracts or lures a person to sin.
Enmity: Enmity means “hatred.”
Gospel: Gospel means “good news.”
Protoevangelium: Protoevangelium means “first gospel.” In Genesis 3:15 God promised to send a Savior to crush the head of the serpent and defeat sin and death.
