In the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick, we receive an outpouring of God’s grace to strengthen us to face suffering and sickness and even death that results from Original Sin.

  • Anointing of the Sick
    :
    The Sacrament by which the sick and dying receive the grace of Christ to face their suffering with dignity and the strength of the Holy Spirit, and, if it is God’s will, to be healed. (1527, 1532)
  • Redemptive
    :
    Acting to save or free someone. Christ’s Suffering and Death on the Cross saved us from sin and freed us from death. (561)
